On April 14th, Liu Xiaoming, the Party Secretary and Governor of Hainan Province, met with an entrepreneur delegation from the "China Brand Overseas Expo" (referred to as "Expo") who were participating in the "Investment in China - 2026 Hainan Free Trade Port Global Industrial Investment Promotion Conference" led by the Chairman of the Brand Alliance and the President of the China Brand Festival, Wang Yong. The two sides discussed how to make good use of the policies of Hainan Free Trade Port, leveraging the industry accumulation and service capabilities of the Brand Alliance, to jointly hold the 2026 China Brand Overseas Expo, create a new brand promotion card for Hainan, deepen cooperation in brand cultivation and promotion, help more enterprises go global through Hainan Free Trade Port, explore new brand empowerment models, and promote the growth and expansion of local brands in fields such as new energy, intelligent manufacturing, and exhibition economy, and further deepen practical cooperation in these areas.

Liu Xiaoming welcomed the presence of all the entrepreneurs and introduced the progress of the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port. He stated that currently, Hainan is accelerating the construction of a distinctive free trade port with global influence, with continuous release of policy benefits and unprecedented development opportunities. The Outbound Trade Expo, as an important platform for promoting Chinese brands to the world, will be held at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center from October 20th to 22nd this year. The exhibition area is 90,000 square meters, covering various zones such as green transportation, cross-border e-commerce, and fashionable life. The provincial government will strongly support the holding of such large-scale exhibitions, continuously optimize the business environment, deepen brand building, and provide full-cycle service guarantees for various economic and trade activities and the development of enterprises in Hainan. We welcome all the entrepreneurs to take advantage of the policy and geographical advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port, conduct in-depth investigations in Hainan, promote more high-quality projects to be implemented in Hainan, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Wang Yong attended the "Invest in China - 2026 Global Industrial Investment Promotion Conference for Hainan Free Trade Port"

In his speech, Wang Yong used the three words "fateful encounter, fortunate chance, and a wonderful opportunity" to summarize his deep friendship with Hainan and the preparations for the exhibition.

He began by recalling "Fate": In 2004, he and Governor Liu Xiaoming were both honored as "Beijing Youth Role Models". Since then, they have been connected for over two decades. Even when the other person went to work at the Ministry of Transport, Guangxi, and overseas, they remained in touch. In 1992, he visited Hainan and had the intention to apply to the Art College of Hainan University. He still vividly remembers the scene of only minibuses and motorcycles in Haikou at that time. Last May 30th, when he led the entrepreneur team to meet with the provincial leaders, he first proposed the idea of establishing the "Exhibition and Expo". The team started from "doing their best" and has been preparing ever since, with their confidence growing day by day.

Then he elaborated on "happiness": Thanks to the 30-year brand alliance's deep-rooted resources in the brand sector and the trust of the provincial committee of the Communist Party of China and the provincial government, the Outbound Expo was able to be implemented in the Ocean Scenery Park with the support of the Provincial Trade Council and the guidance of the Provincial Department of Commerce. He visited more than ten departments one by one for one-on-one coordination. He led the team to invest in Cambodia and Vietnam and is about to go to Hungary, Austria and Switzerland to attract overseas buyers. He also went to visit domestic well-known enterprises such as Gree and Haier to explain the outbound policy and platform value, and hoped that the Outbound Expo would become a new brand of exhibitions in Hainan.

Finally, he expressed his determination to make it a success: The Expo will be positioned as a key project in Hainan's second half of the year following the successful Summer Expo. It will leverage the synergy of private efforts and official support, and draw on the industry resources and platform influence accumulated over 30 years by the brand alliance. With meticulous and thorough preparations, it will strive to host the expo to the fullest extent and live up to the trust of all parties.

Report from the People's Government of Hainan Province

The participating entrepreneurs generally expressed their strong desire and specific plans to leverage the policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the "Outbound Expo" platform to promote the overseas expansion and investment of their brands.

Li Ji-hui, a National People's Congress representative, vice president of the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Guangdong Yangjiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, and general manager of Yangjiang Eighteen Sons Group, affirmed the opportunities presented by the Hainan Free Trade Port and suggested that relevant departments in Hainan actively visit Guangdong to conduct policy explanations, in order to attract more enterprises to invest and start businesses there.

Ji Guang, the chairman of Zhongyou JieNeng Holding Group, briefly introduced the company's basic situation. Zhongyou JieNeng is a comprehensive supplier of liquefied petroleum gas and natural gas in China, with a complete industrial chain. The company was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2018 (stock code: 01759.HK). Ji Guang stated that the company will fully support and participate in the Expo.

Zhou Yanna, the chairman of Hezun (Beijing) Group, introduced the investment layout of their company in Hainan. They have established partnerships with the Qatari royal family capital and the Nixon family of the United States. They plan to introduce the Rockefeller art exhibition to Hainan and organize a high-profile global investors summit. They will fully support the invitation of international guests for the Expo.

Zhang Jun, the chairman of Shanggu Exhibition Group and the vice chairman of the China International Chamber of Commerce's Exhibition Working Committee, as an exhibition professional with 31 years of experience, highly anticipates the opportunities presented by the "Expo". He stated that he will deeply participate and play the special role of the exhibition platform in connecting the industrial sector and the consumer sector, and assisting industries in going global.

Cao Yongfu, the chairman of Shenzhen Qianhai World International Exhibition Co., Ltd. and a partner of the China Brand Festival, expressed his personal "dream of exhibitions". He believes that participating in the "Outbound Expo" is a valuable opportunity to establish a large-scale exhibition from scratch, and he will fully commit to the preparation for the first exhibition.

Zhang Chuanshi, the chairman of the Green Lifestyle Committee of the World Green Design Organization and the founder of the High Design Club, believes that "Outbound Expo" is an important new platform for home industry brands to go global, introduce and cultivate brands. He suggests that the government assist in publicity and promotion as well as in attracting foreign investors.

Qu Wanfei, the Chief Investment Officer of Skyworth Group, the Director of Skyworth Photovoltaic, and the Executive President, stated that Skyworth has actually established a presence in Hainan. The overseas global headquarters of Skyworth Photovoltaic is located in Haikou and has contributed to the output value. As a national brand, they deeply recognize the importance of brand value and plan to leverage the advantages of Hainan to achieve a goal of a hundred-billion-yuan revenue in the new energy business. Skyworth Photovoltaic will actively participate in the Outbound Expo.

Zhou Zhaojin, the chairman of Guangdong Shenhua High-tech Industry Co., Ltd. and a partner of the China Brand Festival, plans to utilize his advanced breeding technology to develop new varieties at the South Farming Base in Hainan, and expand them to Southeast Asia for cultivation. The products will then be sold back to China. With his technological advantages, he intends to deeply engage in the agricultural sector.

Zhou Xuemin, the chairman of Hong Kong Yishuo Eyeglasses Group and a partner of the China Brand Festival, stated that he has registered an investment platform in Hainan. He plans to use Hainan as a pivot point to make overseas investment arrangements and is actively expanding into international markets such as Southeast Asia.

Zhang Xiaowei, the chairman of Henan Zhang Baoshan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., as an enterprise preserving intangible cultural heritage, plans to establish a small molecule peptide biotechnology research and production project centered around yam in Hainan. They intend to utilize the Hainan platform to connect with the international market.

Qin Wen, the deputy general manager of the Left-Right Home Group and the general manager of the Overseas Business Division, proposed that the company should shift from "exporting products" to "exporting brands". The goal is to open 5,000 stores overseas through the Hainan platform and explore the possibility of using Hainan as a transshipment trade hub.

Chen Jing, the general manager of the International Business Department of Dongcheng Group, introduced that the group has already established 62 hotels in Hainan and is currently striving to reach the goal of over 100 hotels. She hopes that the "Expo" event will become a new brand for Hainan and proposed to carry out brand planning for the "Qiong" character.

During the discussion, Wang Yong also briefly introduced the strategic positioning and value of the Brand Alliance International Exchange Center, as well as the brand consulting services provided by the Brand Alliance. The Brand Alliance International Exchange Center is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The center has excellent hardware facilities and superior environmental conditions, which can provide first-class venue support for various activities and offer professional service guarantees for government service models.

As the main business segment of the brand alliance, the brand consulting business has been deeply involved in the industry for many years and has successfully served numerous clients, including 38 state-owned enterprises. It has accumulated rich brand consulting experience and is currently serving companies such as Sinograin Group and China Communications Construction Group. Regarding the issues related to the brand building in the Hainan region mentioned during the discussion, Wang Yong stated that he would lead the team to carefully sort out and conduct in-depth analysis, study and formulate a specialized brand planning scheme, and strive to release it to the global audience at this year's expo.

Finally, Liu Xiaoming concluded that Hainan has three significant advantages. First, the geographical advantage. Hainan is located at the important maritime passage node facing Southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean, and the Pacific Ocean, and is a strategic hub connecting the Chinese mainland and the markets in Southeast Asia, with unique geographical advantages. Second, the policy advantage. Currently, Hainan has established the most optimal visa-free policy system in the country, with 86 visa-free countries covered, including bilateral mutual visa-free, unilateral visa-free, 30-day visa-free for 59 countries' personnel entering, 30-day visa-free for 240-hour transit, etc., and the reasons for entry have expanded to multiple fields such as business and exhibitions. Third, the ecological environment advantage. The air quality in Hainan has continuously maintained the leading position in the country, the forest coverage rate remains at a relatively high level, and Hainan is accelerating the construction of an ecological-friendly free trade port, striving to become a model of beauty in China. He also emphasized that since the full island customs clearance operation began, the policy benefits of the Hainan Free Trade Port are accelerating their release. Welcome everyone to Hainan and come to the expo to experience the charm of Hainan. We believe that with the joint efforts of the brand alliance and all parties, the expo will definitely be a success and "sure to have a chance".
